Project Description
The "Gin Rummy Multiplayer Game" was a dynamic project within the realm of Internet Applications, accomplished in a swift 1.5 months during November and December 2019. As part of a dedicated team of four students, we crafted a comprehensive online multiplayer Gin Rummy Boardgame, showcasing our prowess in web development and real-time communication. Key features included robust User Authentication, skillfully implemented using PassportJs for flexibility and modularity, and a Real-Time Messaging system powered by Socket.IO to enable seamless bi-directional communication between clients and the server. Adhering to the MVC design model and adopting an Agile/Scrum development process, we ensured the project's structure and functionality were well-organized and efficient. JavaScript, NodeJS, ExpressJS, PostgreSQL, Heroku, Bootstrap, Socket.IO, and PassportJS were the essential tools we employed to bring this engaging multiplayer game to life, demonstrating our expertise in internet applications and collaborative development.
